Raised in Ocala, Florida, Cliff was a standout football player at Tennessee's Bethel University and ultimately was inducted into the Athletics Hall of Fame there. Cliff went on to play professional arena football, earn a Master’s in Education at Bethel, and serve as an assistant football coach there. After serving as the Senior Pastor at Tusculum Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Nashville, Tennessee, Cliff took his current position teaching economics and coaching football and wrestling at Liberty Creek High School in Nashville.
