Carrington has been preaching 55 years, pastoring 47 of those, and is the organizing pastor of the Emmanuel Baptist Church of Jesus Christ, in Beaumont, Texas, which is now in its 37th year.

He holds a PhD., in Psychology with concentration in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Grand Canyon University. Dr. Carrington serves as a Content Expert in the College of Doctoral Studies at GCU.

He also continues as a writer, researcher, and consultant to businesses and churches. His first mini-book titled, “Naomi is Back: Not Just Back to Bethlehem-Judah, Back to Her Real Self” will be published soon. This writing addresses the spiritual and psychological implications of Naomi’s travel from stressors to depression and back to her real self.

RD has been married to Sharon Marie, for 31 years. With joy, the Carrington’s are parents of 5 RD’s, and 4 grandchildren.
