Time to stop talking and start working

Many leaders have been anxiously awaiting the new year and are busting out of the starting gate. Others are slowly exiting hibernation and not fully awake as they wait for their systems to warm up.
I'm a mix of both this year. I'm ready to get after it, but I'm also a little sluggish. How about you?
If you feel a similar internal tug of war, Proverbs can get our heads straight. The verse that hits me is Prov. 14:23: "All hard work brings a profit, but mere talk leads only to poverty."
And this passage, too, is a great wake-up call for all of us:
How long will you lie there, you sluggard?
When will you get up from your sleep?
A little sleep, a little slumber,
a little folding of the hands to rest—
and poverty will come on you like a thief
and scarcity like an armed man.
—Prov. 6:9-11
I think we get the picture.
