ChatGPTIn a recent podcast interview with Chick-fil-A's Trudy Cathy White, she told me about the importance of leaving a legacy. Trudy reminded us to, "make the most of every opportunity given to us." These days, Trudy's leadership legacy speaks for itself, and so we couldn't help but contemplate how important leaving a legacy is in the life of a leader.
Think, for a moment, about your favorite leaders—the ones who not only inspired you, but impacted your life for the better. Most likely, your favorite leaders not only "got things done," but they also prioritized the well-being of others. They built relational capital with their team members and strived for the best outcome for all involved. We're willing to bet that these leaders left a legacy that still drives you today, long after their absence.
