Does God have a new calling for you?

Tom Harper

After the assassination of Christian leader Charlie Kirk, millions of believers around the world—including teachers, students, business executives, children, soldiers and retirees—are rising up to declare their commitment to living out a bolder faith.

How will you and I respond? Will we pick up Charlie's banner of love and truth, and courageously walk with God on new paths?

I have been deeply impacted. I don't know exactly what the Lord wants me to do in the future, but I know what he wants me to do right now: Actively seek him.

Specifically, I'm asking him how he wants me to leverage BiblicalLeadership.com in new ways for the Kingdom. Does he want me to change the site to reach younger leaders? Am I to seek out a new wave of partners, sponsors, writers and donors?

Maybe he wants me to motivate our audience of primarily mature leaders to more actively mentor the next generation. Should we create scholarships for young pastors-to-be?

Or, I wonder if the Lord wants me to change my personal mission and do something completely different. Should I hand the reins of the site to someone else, maybe even to another ministry, so I can focus on writing?

Right now, I will wait, seek and ask. I have learned to be patient as I seek the Lord's direction. I don't want to miss this moment, but I also don't want to be hasty and miss the way (Prov. 19:2).

What will you do with this inflection point? Will you more actively pursue a calling you've been discerning for a long time? Will you proclaim your faith more boldly in the workplace or family gatherings? Will you share the gospel in new ways, to new people? Is there free time you could devote to volunteering at church or some other ministry?

Are you feeling a tug in any new directions?

Charlie's bold life was cut too short. We don't know when our own last day will be. We must make the most of the time we have!

Let's seek the Lord together. Let's ask him to give us a heart's desire that fires us up with Kingdom passion (Ps. 37:4).

Ready and waiting,
