Do you strive for success in every area of your life, or just your job?
Recently, a well-liked business leader named Solomon Choi passed away at 44 (link to article on FastCasual.com). He was highly respected in the food industry, having founded successful restaurant brands and products.
The announcement of his passing stunned his many friends and colleagues in the restaurant world.
As I read this sad news, I was unexpectedly heartened by the article's last paragraph:
Solomon was an outstanding example of a man driven by his purpose and faith in God and passionate about sharing the love of Christ with others. He led a Christian men's group and was committed to supporting and challenging those around him to be the best versions of themselves.... Most importantly, he was committed to loving his wife and children to the best of his ability and will be remembered as the world's best husband and daddy.
As Christian leaders, we see in this man a wonderful example of wise living, not just business success. Solomon invested in eternity by sharing Christ with others. He led a men's group. He loved his wife and children mightily.
I didn't know Solomon personally. But what was written about him in this secular business publication is what I hope will be written about me someday.
Do you long for the same thing?
Let's strive to live lives that matter.
In Christ,
