Discovering new strength in the Lord
I know what it's like to feel weak. Let me count the times I've felt helpless, out of ideas, desperate.
Let's see. There was the time I felt like I was letting my work ruin my marriage.
When I was backed into a corner by a business partner, with no apparent way out.
When I was sued. Oh, and when I was sued again a few years later (by someone different). Neither of their "cases" made any sense.
When my business almost shut down in 2020.
When my other business partner—a loyal, generous, man—passed away that same year.
When I lost my wife to a sudden stroke last year.
Do you know weakness? Desperation?
Our Heavenly Father wants to enter into our weakness, especially when we don't know what to do or how to pray.
I pray the following verse comes to mind the next time you feel this way.
In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness.
We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the
Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.
—Romans 8:26
Praying for you,
