Biblical leadership books for your summer reading list
I'm taking a break from my regular devotions to let you know about a few books I've written on the topic of biblical leadership.

The first one is called Leading From the Lions' Den: 66 Leadership Principles from Every Book of the Bible (B&H, 2010). My goal was to draw out fresh thoughts from each biblical book, and help the reader apply them in their own leadership context.
My next two are a two-book fiction series, with leadership lessons unpacked at the end:
Through Colored Glasses: How Great Leaders Reveal Reality – A Biblical Leadership Fable (DeepWater Books, 2018)
CEO Leo Perkins wants to save his company, but his real motivation is to prevent a blow to his ego. His colleagues are dominated by their own ambitions and fears. It's as if they all wear colored glasses, blinding them to reality. In a story full of twists and confrontations, one executive boldly speaks biblical truth to Leo.
Here's the sequel:
Inner Threat: Combatting Christian Leadership's Natural Enemy (DeepWater Books, 2022)
Why do you do the things you don't want to do?
Inner Threat answers this question in the page-turning style of a corporate thriller.
In this sequel to Through Colored Glasses, Hal Perrone achieves his life's dream of becoming a CEO. But in his first week on the job, a criminal act within the company throws the entire organization into chaos.
Hal suddenly finds himself a prime target of FBI Special Agent Maria Castellano, who relentlessly pursues justice and names numerous employees, investors, and vendors as additional suspects. Widespread panic drives many of them to desperately defend their innocence.
Inner Threat is a story about shadowy desires born out of fear, ambition, and greed. No matter how competent we may feel, we're all capable of making choices we never thought we would.
Whether you lead in a corporate setting, the church, or any type of organization, this book will equip you and your team for the internal battles each of us must wage in the workplace.
And finally, my latest nonfiction leadership book:
Servant Leader Strong: Uniting Biblical Wisdom and High-Performance Leadership (DeepWater Books, 2019)
This book is the result of the author's three-year search through the Bible for wisdom on how to establish authority, overcome resistance, develop boldness, and manage conflict.
In Servant Leader Strong, you'll discover hundreds of Bible verses and concepts that can help you rise to a new level of courageous, Christ-like leadership.
